Pilot data notice
This notice covers the Madrid pilot sign-up form. Last updated 13 October 2026. It will be replaced by a full privacy policy before the app is released.
- Who is responsible
- The GateHello pilot, run from Spain. Contact: [email protected]. A full privacy policy and the legal entity will be published before the app launches in the stores.
- What we collect
- Only what you type in the pilot form: email, optional first name, airport, flight number, date and the hours you are free, languages, what you are looking for (good company, networking or language exchange), whether you can leave the airport, the language of the page and which community link you came from. We also record that you confirmed you are 18 or over and that you agreed to this notice.
- What we do not collect
- Date of birth, gender, sexual orientation, boarding passes, precise location, payment details, or anything from tracking cookies. This website uses no analytics and no advertising cookies.
- Why
- To arrange introductions between travellers passing through the same airport at the same time, and to email you about them. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
- Who sees it
- The GateHello team. The other person sees nothing until you both agree to meet; then they see your first name and the meeting spot. Technical providers process data for us: Cloudflare (website, database and email forwarding) and, once enabled, an email-sending service.
- How long
- Until the pilot ends or you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If we cannot introduce you to anyone, we will ask whether you want us to keep your details for your next trip or delete them.
- Your rights
- You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your data, or object to its use, by writing to [email protected]. You can also complain to the Spanish data-protection authority (AEPD, aepd.es).
- Adults only
- GateHello is for people aged 18 and over.
