Is it really free?
Yes. During the Madrid pilot GateHello is free. No card is needed and there is nothing to buy. If we introduce paid features later, we will say so clearly first, and the pilot introductions stay free.
Is this a dating app?
No. GateHello is for adults who want good company or a professional chat during a layover — business, leisure, students, nomads. There is no swiping and no profile browsing.
What if nobody else is there at the same time?
It can happen: this is a small pilot, so we pair people by hand and cannot guarantee a match. If we cannot find someone, we will tell you before your layover.
Where do we meet?
In a busy public place that is easy to find, which we suggest. We never arrange private locations.
Which airports?
We are starting with Madrid-Barajas (MAD). Barcelona-El Prat (BCN) is next. More airports will follow once introductions work well.
What do you do with my data?
We store the details you give us only to arrange introductions, we do not sell them, and we delete them on request or when the pilot ends. Write to [email protected].
